DRIVE YOUR DREAMS 3

A wise man once said

"Success is a journey and not a destination".

This journey is not validated by speed but by progress.

Between your current location (situation) and your intended destination (dream) is a specific distance. How soon you will get there, is not down to your "Uncle" not down to your "rich friends" not down to your "connection"...No!

You are the one who desires a change...you are the one with that intended destination as a goal...and so it's your distance to cover. It's all yours!

People can wish you well but your distance is yours to cover. An athlete can be cheered from the stands but his cheer leaders would not take his position on the tracks.

It's important you start to think about "dream miles".

Your dream and your plan might be so nice and attractive on paper; and yes, it is good you got it on your dream wall...but until you start doing your "dream miles" daily, that dream will only exist on a paper and on a wall.

A "zero dream mile" covered in 3 months, implies you have been at the same spot for 3 months.

In the past 48 hours, how many "dream miles" have you covered and how many "dream miles" are you committed to covering today?

Don't let any day end with you owing yourself some  "dream miles".
Do you want to lose weight? Do your ''dream miles''.

Do you want to build your Business? Do your ''dream miles''.
Do you want a great relationship with your partner? Do your ''dream miles''.

The man you see at the top, didn't just arrive there over night....

Do Your "Dream Miles".

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

A SENSE OF MISSION

Have you ever imagined getting to the bus station and for the first time, you met a bus and on the screen where destinations are supposed to be displayed it reads "going no where" would you get on that bus?

I tell you the truth, the same way you would walk away from that bus, is the same way most intending passengers (who are going some where) would walk away from it too.

Your sense of mission will attract resources, people and opportunities towards your direction. Your life is like a bus and you are the pilot of this bus, but the question is "where exactly are you going"? What are you passionately and consciously chasing after?
A restaurant will attract those who are hungry.
A school will attract those who want to study.
A Gymnasium would attract those who love to keep fit.

Look around you and the type of people you attract, does it resonate with your sense of mission?

It's time to live passionately in accordance with your mission.

The resources and every thing you are looking for is tied to this. You don't get rewarded for sitting down, neither are you rewarded for lack of clarity of purpose.

You are rewarded for going somewhere and the clearer the destination, the more resources opportunities you attract.

Ruth's sense of mission restored her marital destiny.

...when she (Naomi) saw that she (Ruth) was steadfastly minded (sense of mission) to go with her...Ruth 1:18

Jesus had a strong sense of mission, no wonder he always had crowds following and staying with him for days.
What's your mission for today?

What's your mission for this week?
What's your mission for this month?
What's your mission for this quarter?

Start committing passionately to what your answers are for the above questions and watch resources and opportunities come knocking on your door.

Be mindful to avoid distractions...a Wiseman once said, "don't allow 'the good' distract you from 'the best'.

Till when next you visit this blog, KEEP WORKING WITH A SENSE OF MISSION!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

As a very active child whiles growing up, I love to play a lot. I always looked forward to the next half term holiday and the next end of term holiday. It was so interesting because right from the first day of the term, I will ask my older sister about the closing date of the term and from then on, the count down begins.

One day, the long vacation just began and I woke up very excited knowing I had 8 solid weeks to play; my sister got into the room and said to me "I know it is your right to play out the whole holiday because it is a holiday but when you get to the last day of the holiday, what would you reflect on as an achievement during this 8 week period"?

We both saw the same thing but interpreted it differently. One of the fundamental differences between an achiever and a non achiever is "interpretation". They both have the same challenges, faced with probably the same economic circumstance but their independent interpretation of their situation is what informs what actions they both take.

When you LOOK (vision) at a challenge, circumstance or situation, "what do you SEE (interpretation)"?

Jesus was told of a girl who was dead, in response he said, "she is asleep" Matt. 9:24

David was before Goliath, whiles everyone was scared because they saw a giant, David was excited because he saw "a bird", no wonder he told Saul, "I don't need all of your armoury, a bird only needs a sling and a stone". I Sam. 17:39

Have you just lost your job? What do you SEE?

Are you having any difficulty with your wife? What do you SEE?

Does it seem like your pay cheque is not good enough? What do you SEE?

...but be transformed, BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND... Rom. 12:2

YOU CANNOT SEE BETTER THAN THE QUALITY OF THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND!

Till when next you visit this blog, PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOU SEE (interpret) what you look!

PUT YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS 3

There is this group of guys that I keep learning from all the time; interestingly, we all know them for something not commendable, however, God in his infinite Wisdom still acknowledged the potency of their mentality.

I call them the "Babel Masterminds"

Let's check how it all started:

"...and they said one to another...LET US MAKE...LET US BUILD A CITY and A TOWER, whose top may REACH UNTO HEAVEN...and let us MAKE US A NAME (make an impact whiles we are alive)..." Gen. 11:3-4 KJV (paraphrase are author's).

Oh wow!...very clear goals...if you are talking about BIG DREAMS, no one has broken this record yet.

God had to literally come down to stop them...NOT THE DEVIL...they didn't need to fast about it, of course they don't come across as though they had any relationship with God.

Now, let's put that in perspective...these were men with a very HIGH RESOLVE to maximise their stay on earth.

A City and A Tower?

Interestingly, they didn't talk about money, not capital...When God said they can't be stopped he didn't say so because of the size of their Bank statements...No...

They had a possibility Mental Framework that will translate into Real time Hard Work that will deliver their objective. [Gen. 11:6]

They were not just talkers...they were doers. They were willing to PUT IN THE AMOUNT OF WORK necessary to make that happen.

Friends, I have great respect for spirituality and spiritual exercises...I also engage to build up myself spiritually...however, these were men that will not Fast or Pray about this size of dream...they were ready to DO IT...WORK IT...WORK IT!

Even Money or the lack of it couldn't stop them.

If God came down to stop them...it meant they were unstoppable!

I need you to begin to see life as warfare...where laziness is the enemy. This is an enemy that needs to be conquered every minute, every day, and every week...this enemy never dies...and so the battle is for life.

Sleeping for 8 hours is not in your best interest, you can ask any achiever out there...but underachievers will say otherwise.

Success is never owned...It's Rented..and the Rent is due EVERYDAY.

Greatness never goes on Sale...The Price Is The Same All Year Round.

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

AUGUST THEME

Dear Friend,

Congratulations and welcome to a brand new Month.

Have you ever come across people in life who always feel entitled? They assume the world owes them something: they blame everyone and everything for where they are in life and even when you try to help them...they believe they are entitled to so much more.

A young man named Jephthah was in a critical position once and he asked for help...but when he didn't get help...hear what Jeph had to say..

"...and when I saw that ye delivered me not, I PUT MY LIFE IN MY HANDS, and passed over against the children of Ammon...and the LORD delivered them INTO MY HAND..." Judges 12:1-3 (KJV, paraphrase are author's).

Jeph did not put his life in the hands of the Government, hands of Friends, hands of Family members, not even in the hands of his spiritual leader...He put his life IN HIS HANDS.

Until He put his own life in his hands (accepting FULL RESPONSIBILITY), God did not deliver his enemies into his hands.

Why not join me this month, as we explore the theme PUT YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS.

Congratulations once again and Happy New Month!

NO WEEKENDS 5

"The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest and have nothing". Pro. 20:4 (KJV).

Anything that excuses you from being diligent today, will destroy your economic future tomorrow. I don't care if it is an inheritance gotten, a privileged upbringing, a loving parent, the weather, the Government of the nation where you reside, etc.

If it excuses you from exerting yourself productively both physically and mentally, it will soon reduce you to a beggar.

Some people will tell you, "at your age, you should not be doing this"..."considering you are a Masters degree holder, you should not be working at such an establishment"...Friends ignore such counsels because soon, when you are in need..they will not be there for you...trust me...if you listen to them...soon you will be a beggar.

I have one advice for you...you that think, you are over qualified for where you are today...

Whatsoever (Big, small, temporal, menial, casual, oil company, Government worker, hair stylist, barber, fashion designer, store keeper, painter, cleaner...job)...whatsoever (positive and value adding job)...whatsoever (your degrees and qualification notwithstanding) thy hand findeth to do, DO IT WITH THY MIGHT...Eccl. 9:10 (KJV paraphrase are author's).

Stop being lazy...go out there and do something...go and get busy! Or else...soon...you will start to beg...look around you...take a careful look around...are you seriously happy with your finances? Those who advice you otherwise, when last did they send you money?

For you spending hours online...burning useful cash on Data bundles...and yet you don't have a job, my prayer is you will lose your phone...so you can focus. How has Social Media helped you? What value has it added to you? How much are you earning and how much are you blowing on Data?

Something might be cool...doesn't necessarily mean, it adds value to you.

Before you start to beg with your swag...before...you start to blame everyone and everything...before it looks like you are under a curse...

Humble yourself now and tell yourself the truth!

NO MORE WEEKENDS!

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

NO WEEKENDS 4

Average men work to produce fruit during harvest; Great men work to produce fruits all year round.

Joseph didn't stand out because he made Egypt to profit during the days of plenty...No! Joseph stood out because he knew what it takes to be productive during 7 years of famine.

In today's world...when you build a ship or any automobile...it is tested in a "Test rig" before it is certified for use, but when Noah built his ark...there was no Laboratory, nor Rig for his ark to be tested...yet...it stood the storm for 40 days.

Friends, It's time to deploy yourself fully into your craft...because if you are giving just enough, there is coming a time...when 100% will become the new average.

Jacob was soooo good at his job, that he could literally determine what kind of offspring will be produced.

They used to say...Isaac prospered in the days of famine...It's important to note that...in the days of famine, Isaac and his men dug wells...NOT WELL...WELLS...they produced their own water so they can sustain their crops. What you call Irrigation  today was first started by Isaac. Gen. 26:12-22.

Let's put this in perspective: Abraham dug wells, the  Philistines seized it; Isaac dug AGAIN the wells: They dug the first well, it was seized; they dug the second well, it was also seized. By the end of the third well those who hated them knew they couldn't stop them.
.
They dug those wells...manually, not with some digging or borehole technology. They dug those wells in the days of scarce rainfall (famine).
It's a shame without Technology, humanity was used to work ethics that out lived their existence...but these days, technology has heightened our laziness.

Don't just "Dream Big"...but be ready and be willing to "Work Big".

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

NO WEEKENDS 3

Years ago, I read a book titled "AN ENEMY CALLED AVERAGE".

Lately, I have come to conclude THE real ENEMY is not AVERAGE, because AVERAGE is just an output of some type of input.

The real enemy is "HALF-HEARTED" Commitment. It's a commitment that doesn't stretch you.

A prophet died indebted and the creditors were to take his two sons as slaves: Elisha, the man of God asked the widow what she had? In her response, she said,  she had nothing but a jar of oil...Elisha gave her a specific instruction:

"Go borrow...vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; BORROW NOT A FEW (Don't hold back..go all the way).." 2 Kings 4:3 (KJV Paraphrase are author's).

Now, she did what was instructed, however, God could only fill as much vessels as she gathered. By the time the vessels were all filled, the miracle in the oil stopped. She sold them and paid off the debt of her dead husband.

WHAT IF SHE GAVE HER ALL and got twice or thrice as much vessels as she initially gathered?

Friends, God CANNOT BLESS YOU BEYOND YOUR STRETCH. Elisha asked her to go beyond the vessels she had...He said "GO ABROAD","BORROW NOT A FEW".

There is a deluge of Success coming your way...but it will demand a STRETCHED Commitment.

Don't tell me "I believe I can make it to the top" until you tell me, how much you want to sacrifice: How much of your time, resources, sleep and comfort that you want to give up for your dream.

Why waste valuable time in the name of "it's a weekend"? Let your Productive input to your goal go beyond week days.

Ordinary men talk about "hours of input", Average men talk about "diligence" but men who reach out to the world talk "Sacrificial Commitment".

No one is to blame for your level of success!

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

NO WEEKENDS 2

You will never change your life until you change something you do DAILY. The secret of your success is found in your DAILY routines (commitments).

What you do daily, over time becomes a habit and the quality of your habits today will determine the quality of the outcomes of your life tomorrow.

There is what I call "Passive (Unseen) Habits" and there is what I call "Active Habits".

Passive Habits refer to your Mental/Psychological Routines; for instance, when things don't go your way...how do you feel internally? There is no one who is born "easily irritated" - I don't think so. People practice being easily irritated by being (Passive Habit) easily irritated repeatedly...and over time it now looks like a "default character".

Active Habits refer to "seen Habits". It's usually a routine action from you that is visible to all.

Our daily routine is usually a combination of both Passive (unseen) and Active (visible to all) habits. A Qualitative Commitment therefore is a product of a Qualitative Passive habits and Qualitative Active habits.

Until both habits are in sync success is never in view.

Hannah always prayed (Active Habit) for a child but until her countenance (a facial display of internal emotions-Passive Habit) changed, Samuel never came.
"...so the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance WAS NO MORE....NO MORE...sad..." 1 Sam. 1:18 (KJV, paraphrase are author's).

When your Active habits contradicts your Passive habits, your commitment will yield no fruits.

A house divided against itself cannot stand.

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

NO WEEKENDS 1

Just anyone can start a process but not everyone commits to the full demands of the process.

A wise man once said

"Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally"

Behind every average achievement is also an average degree of commitment; behind every phenomenal achievement is a phenomenal degree of commitment.
A Project becomes suspended when commitment goes on vacation. A dream becomes a wish when commitment to its pursuit is absent.

In the school of Success, everyone begins the class but sooner or later, everyone's commitment begins to distinguish them from the rest of the class.

No one gets a prize for starting a race; neither does anyone earn a degree on the first day of a degree program.

What then is the currency for commitment?

Time.

Anyone who commits more time to practice will beat you to the game, your skill, talent or potential notwithstanding.

1. What are you working on at the moment?
2. What quality of outcome do you desire...average, outstanding or phenomenal?
3. How much DAILY time investment do you really think can produce that quality of outcome?

When you work out #3, then give TWICE AS MUCH DAILY; that's the true definition of going the extra mile.

"...whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain (double of what is asked)..." Matt. 5:41 (KJV, paraphrase are author's).
Do you really want to excel in all you do?

I will politely suggest...

Go the "extra mile".

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

MAY THEME: NO WEEKENDS

Congratulations and welcome to a brand new Month

Jesus was speaking once, when he established a powerful success principle; he said

"...whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain..." Matt. 5:41

He was simply asking you to go the extra mile for another person; but the question is...How does that translate to you? It simply suggests that, when it comes to your business...you should at least always go the extra mile.

This Month, we will be considering the theme NO WEEKENDS and our focus will be on Commitment.

Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do, long after the mood you said it in has left you.

Your dreams don't recognise, weekends...it demands your full commitment.

Congratulations once again and happy new month!
