God created the universe in 6 days...and he rested on the seventh day but here is something I find very interesting about how God planned His work. 

First and foremost, God was self-employed; nobody was overseeing his work, neither was he reporting to anyone. Yet, from His personal concept of Personal Effectiveness, he successfully executed the all time Successful Project the world has ever known. 

Before creation, there was no system for timing or assessment for a day's work (but Guess what); God created light first and then he separated the light from the darkness; he called the light day and the darkness he called night and so he experienced morning and evening from the very first day (Gen. 1:3-5). 

So...God first established a system to measure his Personal Effectiveness before he went fully into doing the rest of the Project. 

Being all over the place, does not translate into being productive. Jumping from one task to another and attending endless meetings doesn't translate into having a productive day.

If you want to measure your Daily Personal Effectiveness, then...give yourself a scope of reference. Build a Monthly scope of work, and then from that come up with weekly work packages. 

When our Productivity is planned, then our progress can be measured. 

If you are not reporting to anyone, what will your day look like? How many work packages will you be closing out on a daily basis? 

God established a Night and Day system to measure his Personal Effectiveness, Schools run a semester/term system to measure theirs...What system are you creating to help measure and enhance your Personal Effectiveness?

Personal accountability is the foundation for Personal effectiveness.

So, every time I look at the Creation story, there is just a lot to learn from what God created and how He created them. Just imagine how long the world has been in existence and come to think that it took just 6 days of "Productive work" to set this up is even beyond human comprehension. 

So, what exactly did God do at the beginning?  

In my opinion, God did just 1 thing: He created all He did but did not complete any of those creations without a self-sustaining System. 

God is Systemic and he operates Systematically. Have you ever wondered why the moon can not show up during the day?

Behind anything running successfully, is a System in place.

Systems maximise your physical input. 

Don't just work hard on the task...work hard to produce systems to efficiently deliver the task. 

What will take you 2 months to deliver, a System could deliver in 3 hours. 

Self-sustaining Systems is the reason why certain organisations appear to be more structured than others. 

Joseph proposed an economic System that sustained the economy of Egypt during the years of famine. 

Isaac dug wells: A system to supply his crops constant water even when there isn't any rainfall. 

There two kinds of people in the market place: There are those who run around to chase money, and there are those who settle down to build Systems that attracts money. 

Don't pay attention to the cash-flow rather pay attention to the System. 

"Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house" Pro. 24:27 KJV

Success and everything that comes with it is predicated on two dimensions of Diligence: 

The first dimension is Hard work but the second dimension is even more work than the first...I call it "Passive" Work. 

Passive work is that effort required to sustain the belief in the existence of an outcome long before its physical manifestation. 

When you work hard, you are not trying to make it...No! You have made it already. What you claim to be seeking is already in your possession. 

So, why then do we work? We are working so as to GROW into it. The Child of a King has everything already but because he is still a child, he can't drive the Bentley. It is not because the Bentley isn't in the Palace but he hasn't grown enough to earn its availability. 

The more certain you are about what you are supposedly seeking, the more determined you will be to GROW-UP (giving it all it takes) to earn its availability to you. 

Those who give up aren't certain enough, they have a poor Passive work ethic. 

Which is easier: To look for something that doesn't exist or to look for something that exists already? So, if you believe it exists what's stopping you? You simply don't believe it exists that's all. 

It's your Passive work that empowers your Hard work to produce. 

"He that seeketh, findeth" (Matt. 7:7-8). 

It is a guarantee because it was existing before you thought about seeking it; but if you are not Certain it is available you will be discouraged. 

It's time to be certain about the things you are Working Hard for? 

Build Your Passive Work ethics.

DRIVE YOUR DREAMS 4

A baby requires milk at birth and then graduates to solid food after some months. You don't use a Safety Helmet as a Baseball cap, neither can you drive a ship on a motorway.

What does your dream require and what are you feeding it? What environment does your dream require to blossom, what environment are you creating. 

It's not enough to have a dream, it's not enough to know what you want...if you aren't feeding your dream right...that dream will never see the light of day. It's okay to do something but it's even more important to do the appropriate thing. 

Are you suppose to be working out 5 times a week and you are just doing 3 times a week?

Are you suppose to be studying for 3  hours a day and you are just studying for an hour a day?

Are you suppose to be saving 30% of your income monthly and you can barely save 10%? 

There is no such thing as, I have done my best...if you are not giving it what is required, you aren't giving your best. 

You cannot short change the process. 

You can try to talk everyone to believing you are doing your best...but the process will find you out.

Stop waiting and expecting to be congratulated when this is something you are supposed to be doing; Whose dream is it by the way? So, who else was suppose to be doing the work? 

If you are suppose to dial an 11 digit number, and you dial just 10 digits correctly...you will never reach your destination. Stop looking for short cuts. 

If you claim you want it so bad, then commit FULLY to the price.

Don't complain about the results you didn't get by the work you didn't complete.

PUT YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS 2

Let us try to solve a fundamental problem in the school of Achievement. The pathetic bit is that those who have the problem don't even know they have a major problem...because there is always a sentimental justification to it. 

So what then is this problem? 

I call it the lazy man's philosophy - "nobody wants to help me". 

What is help? 

Help is a 20% boost that makes your 80% reach 100%. 

Your 80% constitutes: 10% of initiative and 70% of NON-NEGOTIABLE PERSONAL INPUT OR EFFORT. 

From the above definition, you will see that to begin anything in life...you don't need Help [20%]. Go and get busy about your 80% first...then with or without the 20%, you are already on your way to achieving whatever it is you have set your mind on. 

A lazy man interprets it the other way around: He believes Help is 80% and his input is 20% and so he sits all day saying...

"I don't have anybody"

"I don't know anybody"

"I need capital"

and then days turn out to weeks, weeks turn into months and months turn into years...a full grown adult has decided to be his own problem. 

Stop Planning Your Life Around Someone else's "Help" because Help is usually not an obligation.

Nobody...Nobody...even those who have promised to help you...those who once helped....NOBODY OWES YOU ANYTHING. 

Stop sitting around....Go and ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE. 

These days I hear lazy and irresponsible religious people talk about "Destiny Helper". They pray it, they sing it. Let me say this...

Something sounds "religious" or "spiritually deep" doesn't necessarily make it True. 

Okay...if you succeed who is the first beneficiary? Is it your uncle? How about when you turn yourself into a liability...who suffers the most? Your Cousin? 

Jesus once had a conversation with a man who literally sat down at a spot for 38 years in the name of "No helper". Jesus asked...

Jesus: Will thou be made whole?

Impotent Man: Sir, I have no man...

So...someone has been busy all year, justifying their inaction, justifying their lack of initiative, justifying their liability status to those around them, justifying they don't have a job....is that you? 

So...what's this story of yours? 

I came from a poor background?
I don't have the right education?
My parents didn't send me to school?
From a broken home?
My job sucks?
I need capital?
My siblings don't care about me? 
It's too hot?
It's too cold?
The Government?
The Economy? 

I can't do that kind of job

I'm a female?

I'm a single Parent?

I'm a Teenage mum? 

I'm not tall?

I'm not beautiful enough?

I'm black?

I'm white?

I'm under 30?

I'm over 40?

What exactly is your story?

Have you ever observed "stories" and "results" never see eye-to-eye? You are either the friend of one or the other. 

Excuses pay no bills...Excuses don't go to the Medal stand. Excuses don't earn you your spot. 

There was a man, named Abraham...and at age 75, God gave him a specific instruction: 

"...Lift up NOW thine eyes, and look (DREAM) from the place where thou art (Dream from YOUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCE) Northward...Southward...Eastward and Westward (Dream Big)..." Gen. 13:14 (KJV paraphrase are author's)

It starts from where you are...not when things change...no...right there...in this your current story...right in your current predicament-Start Dreaming again. 

Yes, it wasn't your fault you lost the job, it wasn't your fault the application was declined...but the story doesn't end there. 

You've got to dream again!

You might not be responsible for where you are today but your dreams are responsible for where you will end tomorrow. 

Zero dreams will produce a zero future. 

No one can dream for you! 

If you don't want to be lame...quit playing the blame game.

BUILD UP YOURSELF 4

If your perspective towards life today is the same as the Perspective you had 5 years ago, it simply means your mind was never exposed to any form of valuable information. 

An aspect of personal hygiene require that you shower at least once a day; if you don't, it's very likely people will rather relate with you from afar. 

Your Mental Hygiene requires you ponder on something profound DAILY. If you do...your mental capacity begins to grow, and your perspective about your current circumstance will change. If you don't, your ideologies will stink and mature people will relate to you from a distance. 

You can read a book, your bible or objectively investigate a success story or success system. Allow your mind to be washed by the quality of the exposure. 

Your life cannot develop further than your mind; your mind will not develop just because you are growing old...No! You will have to consciously develop the efficacy of your mental faculty. 

If your mind is built, your brain-work will be effective, if your mind is not built...situations of life will destabilize you. 

There is no special challenge, we only have special levels of under developed minds. Stop waiting on people, family or friends to solve your problems; the person you are waiting on...also has challenges. He is only trying to use his head...why not copy him? Develop your mind and Put it to good use. 

Stop being needy, develop your mind...and then it will bail you out of situations. 

A mother whose child was sick came to Jesus, and Jesus told her "Healing is for Children not for Dogs", implying she wasn't entitled; yet, see the response of a sound mind, she said 

"Truth Lord: yet the dogs do eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table"...Matt. 15:22-28 [KJV, paraphrase are author's]. 

People get frustrated not because the situation is frustrating but because their minds at that point in time cannot produce sound options in the direction of the solution. 

Your Brain-work will open doors, your pleading won't open.

BUILD UP YOURSELF 3

Years ago, I learnt a fundamental principle that has turned my life around; I call it the Parameter for success. It's so simple, we talk about it but we still don't understand it. 

It's called "Numbers".

Life is a Numbers game

Success in certain aspect of life could mean improving your numbers and Success in other areas could mean decreasing or moderating your numbers. 

When you look at your facts sheet (scoreboard, results, account statement, percentage profits, list of Clientele, Academic results, etc.), what can you see?

Numbers!

Before you start laying blames or making excuses pay attention to your numbers. Your numbers reflect your discipline, talks about your work ethics and most importantly where you are today.  

Your account balance does not bear your friend's name; if it is in red, no one is to blame. When you step on a weight balance, what you see does not belong to your boss nor your colleagues, it's yours...it's all yours.

Do you remember the Parable of the talent? Growing numbers. 

If you don't like your numbers, it's time to improve on your numbers. Build up your daily hours of Productivity; are you a sportsman? Increase your hours of practice; are you a business man? Develop strategies to improve your Clientele. 

You might be smarter than your competitors, more established than they are in the business but if they are better in the control of the numbers, it's just a matter of time, they will soon be your Consultant. Better still they will either buy you up or you will seek for a merger. 

Can you truly account for your 24 hours? Can you truly account for your last pay cheque? How have you been managing those customers? 

Jesus said something profound

"...those that thou gavest me, I have kept, AND NONE OF THEM IS LOST..." Jn. 17:12 (KJV, paraphrase are author's).

What you cannot successfully manage, you will fail to grow.

"The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest and have nothing". Pro. 20:4 (KJV).  

Anything that excuses you from being diligent today, will destroy your economic future tomorrow. I don't care if it is an inheritance gotten, a privileged upbringing, a loving parent, the weather, the Government of the nation where you reside, etc. 

If it excuses you from exerting yourself productively both physically and mentally, it will soon reduce you to a beggar.

Some people will tell you, "at your age, you should not be doing this"..."considering you are a Masters degree holder, you should not be working at such an establishment"...Friends ignore such counsels because soon, when you are in need..they will not be there for you...trust me...if you listen to them...soon you will be a beggar. 

I have one advice for you...you that think, you are over qualified for where you are today...

Whatsoever (Big, small, temporal, menial, casual, oil company, Government worker, hair stylist, barber, fashion designer, store keeper, painter, cleaner...job)...whatsoever (positive and value adding job)...whatsoever (your degrees and qualification notwithstanding) thy hand findeth to do, DO IT WITH THY MIGHT...Eccl. 9:10 (KJV paraphrase are author's). 

Stop being lazy...go out there and do something...go and get busy! Or else...soon...you will start to beg...look around you...take a careful look around...are you seriously happy with your finances? Those who advice you otherwise, when last did they send you money? 

For you spending hours online...burning useful cash on Data bundles...and yet you don't have a job, my prayer is you will lose your phone...so you can focus. How has Social Media helped you? What value has it added to you? How much are you earning and how much are you blowing on Data? 

Something might be cool...doesn't necessarily mean, it adds value to you. 

Before you start to beg with your swag...before...you start to blame everyone and everything...before it looks like you are under a curse...

Humble yourself now and tell yourself the truth!

 Average men work to produce fruit during harvest; Great men work to produce fruits all year round. 

Joseph didn't stand out because he made Egypt to profit during the days of plenty...No! Joseph stood out because he knew what it takes to be productive during 7 years of famine.

In today's world...when you build a ship or any automobile...it is tested in a "Test rig" before it is certified for use, but when Noah built his ark...there was no Laboratory, nor Rig for his ark to be tested...yet...it stood the storm for 40 days.

Friends, It's time to deploy yourself fully into your craft...because if you are giving just enough, there is coming a time...when 100% will become the new average.

Jacob was soooo good at his job, that he could literally determine what kind of offspring will be produced. 

They used to say...Isaac prospered in the days of famine...It's important to note that...in the days of famine, Isaac and his men dug wells...NOT WELL...WELLS...they produced their own water so they can sustain their crops. What you call Irrigation  today was first started by Isaac. Gen. 26:12-22. 

Let's put this in perspective: Abraham dug wells, the  Philistines seized it; Isaac dug AGAIN the wells: They dug the first well, it was seized; they dug the second well, it was also seized. By the end of the third well those who hated them knew they couldn't stop them. 

.

They dug those wells...manually, not with some digging or borehole technology. They dug those wells in the days of scarce rainfall (famine).

It's a shame without Technology, humanity was used to work ethics that out lived their existence...but these days, technology has heightened our laziness. 

Don't just "Dream Big"...but be ready and be willing to "Work Big".
