WHAT'S YOUR MISSION? 5

Noah built the Ark long before the world experienced its first rain drop. Joseph advised Pharaoh to start planning for an economic downturn 7 years prior to the famine. 

You have to see it long before everyone begins to have a glimpse of its reality. This dream you have, this vision, this goal, what will it look like in 10 years from now? 

You see, if the picture of your tomorrow isn't clear enough, your actions of today wouldn't be bold enough, and your guts wouldn't be daring enough.

Discouragement is a symptom of poor vision. It is only what you clearly see that keeps you going. 

Tenacity is the offspring of clarity of vision. 

When you are in for the long game...spontaneity no longer remains in your vocabulary; because you know, every action has its long term effect. 

An average Corporate professional has spent at least 16 years of continuous study before he earned that degree. 

Where do you KNOW you want to be, 20 years from now?

Whatever you will amount to, 16 years from now, begins right from this moment.

GET READY 2

 In Genesis 41, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh and suggested as a Nation they will go through two economic phases...hence there is the need to get ready for the second phase (Famine) in the course of the first phase (Plenty). 

Everyone goes through their season of plenty: There is the time when you are young, and the time you will lose your youthfulness; a time where some people will be in paid employment and a time they might either be retired or laid off, there is a time when you are newly married (less expenses) and a time when kids come along (more expenses), etc. 

How are you getting ready for that change? What plans are you making today to enable you secure the ''second phase''? 

Joseph did not prescribe Prayers, neither did he ask them to fast (Gen. 41:33); he told Pharaoh you will need a man who is "Discreet and Wise". It goes to say...Wisdom is a necessary requirement if we must go through the "Phase change" successfully. 

When you look at the economy, what do you see? When you look at your career, what can you see? 

When you look at the rate at which prices and the cost of living is skyrocketing, what can you see? 

It's time to be strategic, it's time to begin to apply yourself to Sound Financial and Economic principles. 

Prayers and Fasting will not make you escape "Hardship" it is Wisdom that will make you go through Hardship successfully. 

"...and Wisdom and Knowledge shall be the STABILITY of thy TIMES..." Isa. 33:6 KJV (paraphrase are author's).

Those who do not plant trees today, will not have shelter to shield them from the harshness of the Sun tomorrow. 

Remember it is not a day or two it's a phase: In Pharaoh's time...it was a seven year period of Famine. 

Not everything in vogue is meant for you; you don't have to attend every ceremony mostly if you are from Africa where certain ceremonies must be attended by a certain type of outfit that has to be bought or paid for. 

Don't eat your tomorrow today; "Get ready" and again...I say "Get ready".

DECEMBER THEME

Dear Friend, 

Congratulations and welcome to a brand new Year. It's important we take a moment to be thankful to God for the privilege of seeing the first day in the first month of the new year.. The successes and the setbacks of the past 11 months notwithstanding...what matters most today is that we are still breathing...and for that we should be grateful. 

Happy New Year?

Every new day begins with the evening of the previous day; but every new day begins at 12 midnight, hence permit me to say, the twelfth month is not the last Month of the incumbent year but the early hours of the new year. 

I need you to pay attention to what you do this month...because it might potentially set the pattern for the next 11 months. Why not join us this month as we explore the theme GET READY.

MAXIMISING YOUR HARDWORK 4

God created the universe in 6 days...and he rested on the seventh day but here is something I find very interesting about how God planned His work. 

First and foremost, God was self-employed; nobody was overseeing his work, neither was he reporting to anyone. Yet, from His personal concept of Personal Effectiveness, he successfully executed the all time Successful Project the world has ever known. 

Before creation, there was no system for timing or assessment for a day's work (but Guess what); God created light first and then he separated the light from the darkness; he called the light day and the darkness he called night and so he experienced morning and evening from the very first day (Gen. 1:3-5). 

So...God first established a system to measure his Personal Effectiveness before he went fully into doing the rest of the Project. 

Being all over the place, does not translate into being productive. Jumping from one task to another and attending endless meetings doesn't translate into having a productive day.

If you want to measure your Daily Personal Effectiveness, then...give yourself a scope of reference. Build a Monthly scope of work, and then from that come up with weekly work packages. 

When our Productivity is planned, then our progress can be measured. 

If you are not reporting to anyone, what will your day look like? How many work packages will you be closing out on a daily basis? 

God established a Night and Day system to measure his Personal Effectiveness, Schools run a semester/term system to measure theirs...What system are you creating to help measure and enhance your Personal Effectiveness?

Personal accountability is the foundation for Personal effectiveness.

PUT YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER 1

Every great physical structure/system today, first began by a planning process yesterday; and all effective and robust planning procedures will always begin with a SITTING DOWN process. 

Jesus said...

"...for which of you intending to build a tower (Great Venture), sitteth not down FIRST, and counteth the cost..." Lk. 14:28 (KJV paraphrase are author's)

Success in any given venture is not by accident; if it comes accidentally, it will definitely leave you accidentally. Success in any given venture is a product of CONSCIOUS and DELIBERATE efforts. 

"Sitting down" is a conscious exercise. 

There is no special challenge any where...you only need to call yourself to a "personal board meeting" and then honestly sit down to map out a solution, after which you take necessary steps in the direction of your desired objective. 

You have been hanging out with everyone else...it hasn't profited you much, why not try to hang out more with yourself, look inwards, engage your mind and start digging for personal answers to your challenges? 

If it will be great it will not happen by chance.

If it will be successful it will not happen by luck.

If it will stand the test of time it will require the discipline of "sitting down first". 

It's a brand new week...have you sat down to map out in detail what you want to do this week?

Stop running around like everyone else...as a matter of fact, productivity is not synonymous with activity.

It's time to sit down and build working systems for your life. It's time to PUT YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER.
