LIVING LIKE A SPORTS MAN

 A wise man once said, 

"Champions are not made in the ring, they are only recognised in the ring...champions are made in their everyday rehearsal" 

In the world of sports, aiming for trophies is the biggest goal for all. This is why, they submit to coaches (mentors), personal trainers (teachers), personal discipline, etc. They live everyday of their lives with a major tournament in focus. 

They sweat it out on a daily basis on the field, ring, or in the gymnasium. They might be in pain, but for the glory ahead, they endure. Some of them give up friendships and social habits that does not enhance the quality of their preparedness for the tournament. You can see it clearly in the tone of their body muscles. 

The truth is we can live the philosophy of the sports man in our pursuit of destiny.

It's time to set your goals as major sports tournament. Desire winning like a sports man. Enough of living like a spectator or a sports analyst. 

WHAT ARE YOU REHEARSING FOR? What disciplines would you commit to daily that would make you the best in your area of specialty. These days, people talk less of excellence and celebrate being average. Don't be caught with in that web. 

It's time to run like you want the medal. My teacher once told me, the key to unending success is PREPARE! PREPARE!!PREPARE!!! 

Some of you say, you want to be the best you can be but, the friends you keep close make you sound like a joker, your eating and sleeping  habit is contrary to the objective, what you commit to socially is amazingly ridiculous for the goals you have.

It's time to wake up! Greatness is upon you stop wasting away! Stop living like a spectator, all they know to do and all they prepare for is fun. Stop being an analyst, all they know to do, is to talk and judge those who are actively engaging in the field/ring. 

In the following week, month, quarter or year, set yourself daily goals that will make you the best. Yes! The best! Commit to the discipline that will make you become or achieve that goal, put an end to every friendship that will not feed that objective... Get a coach/mentor/Personal trainer and COMMIT TO THEIR INSTRUCTION AS IT APPLIES TO YOUR ASSIGNMENT and watch yourself become an amazement to yourself. Do you remember, it took a driving instructor to get you your Drivers License?

Believe it or not...IT WILL ALWAYS TAKE A COACH. Show me a man who is committed to a coach, I will show you a man on his way to the top. Only spectators and analysts live without one. 

You too can be celebrated! You too can be given an award! You too can make global headlines!

THERE ARE THOSE WHO MAKE THE NEWS, THERE ARE THOSE WHO REPORT THE NEWS! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF THEM...Have you been reporting? It's time to switch roles. RUN THAT YOU MAY OBTAIN!

UP YOUR PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS: DEMAND DYNAMICS 3

When you take a good look at yourself, with everything you are going through and have been through in life...are you still hopeful? Do you really think that goal/dream/Vision is still within your reach? Do you still EXPECT yourself to reach it?

Your past or present circumstance is only as powerful to stop you to the degree of powerlessness of your hopefulness and Personal Expectation.

How Powerful is your Hopefulness? 

He was called the Dreamer: Joseph had specific and clear dreams about whom he was going to be in the future; however, he had the experience of Slavery, wrongful imprisonment but with his sense of Hopefulness still alive ...he dared speak to his guys..."when you go back out there tell your boss, Pharaoh about me". 

The Favour he asked from his fellow inmates at their release had nothing to do with his release but had everything to do with his boyhood dreams. 

He saw clearly everyone (the sun and the moon and the eleven stars) bowing before him...

Ruth had a dream of being a loving wife and mother; and then suddenly death struck...attempting to deny her of that dream and soon she became a widow. 

But why would a widow stick around and still follow her bereaved widowed mother-in-law into a strange land? I call it the "Audacity of Hope". She faithfully served her mother-in-law but with her eyes opened. 

When Boaz showed up, she was guided accordingly and had her matrimonial dreams fully restored. 

Why are you giving your past so much power to stop your colourful future? 

Do you allow the pain of yesteryears to blur your vision of a bright and colourful tomorrow? 

Set yourself free...deliver yourself from that emotional prison. 

You have made the 299th unsuccessful application, so what? Make the 300th one. 

Your last business failed and you lost money...so what? Listen up, start a new one. 

I don't care how many failures or setbacks you have had...it's not a good enough excuse to pack up and live below your original dream/vision. 

You will not fail!

SUCCESS BANKING

So we are gradually running a cashless society; we all carry our debit cards most of the time: we pay for stuff online, at the till, at the corner shops. What makes it possible? Why does your bank honour your request everytime you place that debit demand? 

It is possible because in times past, you have made financial deposits; so everytime you have a supposed financial challenge you can make financial withdrawals from your financial institution. Has anyone ever been in a position where you thought you had some money and you wanted to use your card and you were told 'you have insufficient funds'? It is not that you do not have funds, but they are simply insufficient. If you take that a bit lower, can you imagine confronting a financial challenge with zero deposit in your account?

 Now it is exactly the same way life works. What we do today with the challenges we face are deposits into our success account. Have you ever wondered why some people give up too soon and others stick to making things work?

David was before Goliath and all he told Saul was, 'I have deposits of success that I can withdraw from in order to take care of  this 'Goliath expenditure''

David's size was not commensurate with that of Goliath's but you can not question the size of his previous success. Jesus was before Lazarus' 4 day old grave...he made withdrawals by saying 'Father, I thank you because you hear me always' hence this case also is affordable. 

However, those who do savings and put money aside, do so CONSCIOUSLY. Now some one might be having one form of challenge or the other, it is important you stand firm and ensure you come out successfully because when YOU do, it becomes a deposit. THE more success deposits we make today, the better perspective we create for tomorrow's challenges. Listen! OUR EVERYDAY VICTORY LIFESTYLE IS CRITICAL TO OUR TRIUMPH TOMORROW. 

STOP GIVING UP! STOP ACTING WEAK! STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR YOUR POSITION! STOP SPEAKING NEGATIVELY!

It is time to take every challenge as a job...and you know every job comes with a pay, when you get paid where does it go to (into your brother's account or yours)? So, get excited at new challenges because you are just about to visit your success bank in order to do some success banking.

Believe it or not, there will always be life's expenditures (battles/challenges), we just can not afford to not be productive in our daily economic engagements. NO MORE HANGING OUT WITH THE WRONG CROWD who only sit and talk about challenges (and discuss negative issues). Hey! It is unprofitable for you! Get out of that club and sign up for the club that takes on challenges head on, not because it is easy but because they must make fresh success deposits, their SUCCESS ACCOUNT must not run dry. 
I hear some one say, 'How do I start'? 

Start with the small things, Why? If £1 is too small to be saved, £1000 will also be too small to save. Start with planning today (how small?). What will you be doing in the next hour? What are you supposed to be doing by 1p.m? Develop a plan and stick to it; it will reinforce your drive to take on the next day. 

As you plan, make a decision not to ignore any challenge that comes along, face it and address it. Someone got you upset yesterday, call them up today and talk about it...ignoring them or keeping a straight face does not make any deposit to your credit.

Remember: YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO MAKE FINANCIAL WITHDRAWALS THAT ARE ABOVE YOUR FINANCIAL DEPOSITS! IF YOU DO NOTHING, YOU WILL WITHDRAW NOTHING!

SOW COURAGE 5

Some people have prayed all kinds of prayers...some people have just completed their yearly fast, probably some others are still fasting. 

Let me use this medium to give you an idea of what God will do: 

Just like Israel, God is planning to totally take you out of Egypt (2016 experiences) but he will take you through the Red Sea...yes! your "Career and Business Red Sea"

Will you allow fear to get in the way? Will you rather opt for average (remaining where you used to be)?

God will start giving you ideas that will look too big for your imagination. He will bring you into a land where there are giants that needs to be dispossessed. 

Will you like the 10 spies say "...they are stronger than we are...we be not able.." or "that kind of billion dollar opportunity is not for me...it's too big"?

Like David, he will bring you before "Goliath" which is your ticket to your enthronement. 

Will you give it your best shot or act timid because you don't look physically built like "Goliath"?

I will close with this...

Josh 1:6 "...Be strong and be of a good COURAGE..."

Josh 1:7 "...Only be thou strong and VERY COURAGEOUS.."

Josh 1:9 "...Be strong and of a good COURAGE..."

Friends, average courage will deliver average results, good courage will deliver good results and great courage will deliver great results. Zero courage, will inspire zero action and ultimately zero result.

The choice is yours.

Life will pay whatever demands you place on it. 

As a matter of fact the difference between where you are today and where you will be by the end of the year is a function of what you have the courage to demand for. 

Have you ever sat down to ponder on the scripture that says...

"Ask...and you shall receive...Seek...and you shall find...Knock and it shall be opened unto you..." Matt. 7:7-8 KJV (Paraphrase are author's).

Some of you will agree with me that there are some doors, you alone have tagged "unknockable"...there are some Opportunities you alone have tagged "Not for me"... 

...but why not you...?

Timidity has downsized your self assessment, limited your reach and now you say life is unfair-I am sorry but that's the lie you have been telling yourself for so long. Because everyone who ever dared to Ask courageously, dared to Seek courageously and dared to Knock courageously always got what they wanted. 

To all my "spiritual" friends...how many times did David pray to kill Goliath? How many all nights did he do? Did he fast? 

There you are...for just that little job interview, you prayed, fasted, did a personal all night, sent all the demons into the desert (even the ones that don't have business with your job interview), your Pastor prayed for you, you anointed yourself and after every every....the big day comes.

What is your name sir? You begin to feel all sweaty and shaky and for the simplest question every adult should comfortably answer...you are stuttering. 

We all are Destiny farmers and per time we are either sowing seeds of fear, caution or courage...and the outcomes around our lives today is a true reflection of the kind of farmer we have been.
