DEVELOP A STRATEGY 5

"So teach us to number our days (schedule our living), that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (strategic thinking)" Ps. 90:12 KJV. [paraphrase are author's]

"By and by" never gets anything done; an open ended plan without specific delivery timelines will amount to zero achievement.

Any body can draw up a plan...but serious minded people attach timelines and they commit to the timeline.

Schools run academic sessions: Every course has specific duration; which strongly suggests to the student that you can't be here for ever.
Even God did not take forever to create the world: he scheduled creation.

You want to lose 3Kg...put a time to it and stay committed.

If you want to show up on time for any meeting, define when exactly you want to leave your house.

Even flights have a time for checking in...if you don't show up early, you can't be considered for that particular flight.

You want to save for your next real estate, put a time to it and stay committed.

It doesn't matter how big or how small the goal; it doesn't matter how complex or how simple, once you are clear about what you want to do...PUT A TIME to it.

Someone might say...what if I can't meet my intended schedule? Set a new schedule...by all means make sure you are working towards a schedule.

Your day has a potential to deliver a lot before it's dark...but only effective planning and scheduling can make that happen.

Finally...after your schedule is set...don't try to achieve the goal within the time...No...rather beat your schedule.

You will not fail!

DEVELOP A STRATEGY 4

Some people have over the years refused to go to certain places, refused to knock on certain doors, simply because someone whom they either respect or revere, passionately shared an opinion against the supposed move.

In 1 Sam. 17

David made his own inquiries about the opportunity called "Goliath" by Himself; in fact he refused to even settle with the feedback from just one source, he made multiple inquiries.

Interestingly king Saul, had an opinion about David's ability...yet, David refused to back down; David's own siblings tried to psychologically bully him so he would return home, yet he refused.

Eventually David brought down Goliath.

In Ruth 1 and 2.

Naomi told Ruth and Orpah to leave after they both emerged as widows from the death of Naomi's two sons. She tried to present a logical case loaded and padded with grief and disappointment so as to make her case; Orpah left but Ruth refused to leave Naomi.

Eventually Ruth became Boaz's wife and also became part of Jesus' genealogy.

How many opportunities have you missed by simply allowing yourself to be emotionally manipulated by either your Parents, older siblings, relatives, spiritual leaders, etc?

Stop living your life based on other people's research...ASK YOUR QUESTIONS YOURSELF.

Please go and find out the truth about what you intend to do...BY YOURSELF.

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

DEVELOP A STRATEGY 3

"...The centurion answered and said "Lord I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: SPEAK THE WORD only and my servant shall be healed..." Matt. 8:8

There is an approach everyone knows, there is a route common to all and often times the system gets jammed because everyone is trying to achieve the same result by doing the same thing.

If you don't want to be stranded you need to "Think Differently". Being conventional is okay...but increases your chances of being stranded.

What do you do when 1000 persons want the same thing you want at the same time you want it?

The centurion understood the fact that many wanted to see Jesus and by the Protocol of schedule, it might take a few hours before it will get to his turn; hence he thought about the situation differently...

The woman with the issue of blood was another "astute thinker". The crowd was never going to allow her access but she reasoned a little differently   "if this guy touches people and they get healed, why not touch him or better still touch something in continuous contact with him".

As long as they all saw Goliath as a giant...they were all afraid. David simply saw him as a "bird"...Same problem but a different analysis of it.

Both fear and courage comes from your own perspective and analysis of the situation.

If you stick to a conventional perspective, you will also get stuck conventionally.

The competition is much is no excuse...those who think differently always achieve their goals irrespective of the crowd or the competition.
It's time to develop a strategy...it's time to think differently.

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!

DEVELOP A STRATEGY 2

Success minded people define certain things differently from average minded people. To an average man, hitting 70% is just good enough, a successful man will be depressed if he doesn't reach 95% for starters. An average man calls such aiming propensity "perfectionism"  but the success minded man calls it "Aiming for excellence".

As part of strategic planning for this new year, it is important you begin by redefining what excellence will mean to you this year.

What is your own definition for excellence?

If you set yourself a goal and you achieve the goal within the parameters you set for yourself...then you are average....but "I achieved it already" yes...you did...but again you are "average".

When you set your goals...don't just achieve them...your aim should be to smash them.
If you planned showing up by 9:30a.m. for a 10:00a.m. event, show up by 9:00a.m. in execution.

They said you have 6 months to deliver, deliver it in 4 months.

Jesus said..."If a man bid thee to go a mile...go with him twain" (Matt. 5:41).

Meaning the least to give in everything is give "twice as much"...Jesus said what he said in relating with someone else...How much more in relating to yourself and "your own goals".

How do you stop a man who has determined to wake up earlier than the prompting of his own alarm clock?

How do you stop a man who sets his own records and breaks the same record without your permission?

When Jesus fed the 5,000 men (minus women and Children) 12 baskets remained. [Matt. 14:20]

When he fed the 4,000 men (minus women and children) 7 baskets remained. [Mark 8:8].

If this year will be different from the previous don't just set goals but aim to smash those goals.

If your strategy is "average", you will have average outcomes...if your strategy is "outstanding" then you will have outstanding outcomes.

Those who aim for excellence never miss success.

You will not fail!

DEVELOP A STRATEGY 1

By the end of 2018, your goals will either remain items on a "To-Do" list or  items on a "Completed" list. You will either have results to show or stories to tell. Some people might have a list of excuses why they couldn't achieve what they were supposed to or they will have a list of persons to blame.

Before you end 2018 like you just ended 2017...it's important you develop an effective strategy on how to make sure you do everything you set out to do.

What then is strategy?

A strategy is a PRACTICAL and WELL THOUGHT out approach to achieving any or a combination of clearly defined deliverables using available resources.

I know you have a list that has your goals...It's important you create another list for strategy. I know you have a "prayer request" list...I will still strongly advice you have a strategy list.

You can pray for rainfall but the seeds won't plant themselves.

When Jesus decided he was to feed the multitude, He instructed his disciples...

"...Make them sit down in fifties..." Lk. 9:14

Jesus...I mean "the miracle worker" was strategic.

Even God was strategic with creating the world...How do I mean?

How come He created "Light" first [Gen. 1:1-3]?

Nobody can work effectively in darkness...your ideas, skills and competencies not withstanding, if you attempt to be creative in the dark, you will likely end up in the Hospital before your project is through.

Prayer cannot replace strategic thinking; fasting does not necessarily make things deliver faster.

Being spiritual does not suggest, you should suspend the EFFECTIVE USE of your Brain capacity.

If you lack strategy, you will lack results.

You will not fail!

On behalf of the team at WOW INT'L I would like to say...

Good morning and Happy New Year!

JANUARY THEME

Happy New Year in advance.

I will like to congratulate you for making it to the last day of the month and the last day of this calendar year.  If you don't have anything to be grateful for...you should be grateful for life because only the living can aspire to greatness.

Between every plan and an execution is an "action plan" otherwise called "strategy".

The realisation of your dream is down to an effective action plan. Joseph sold a sustainable economic action plan to Pharaoh.

Knowing "what to do" is not the same as knowing "how to do".

You are welcome to join us this January as we discuss the theme "DEVELOP A STRATEGY".

Congratulations once again and Happy New Month/Year in advance.

CHANGE INTO SOMETHING DIFFERENT 4

In a soccer game, the ultimate objective is winning. For winning to be a reality, goals have to be scored. The more the goals, the higher the chances of a team to win the game.

But an interesting part of the 90 minutes game, is the "Substitution of Players". A time to make a Tactical change or potentially take out tired legs and infuse some energy into the team by introducing fresh legs.

Let's assume for a second you are a Soccer Team:

What tactical changes would you like to introduce in your life from the next quarter? I know you have set your goals, written them down and probably hung them somewhere on your wall; but then,  where is your list of "Changes I need to make"?

Winning your game daily, excelling weekly or achieving your monthly Personal goals will require strategy but if you can't see results yet...you might want to consider making a "Tactical Change".

What if you cut down your sleeping hours by 2 hours? Will it impact on your project delivery time?

What if you create a list everytime you are going out to shop for groceries? Will your personal financial Management improve?

What if you partner with another business to execute the contract?

Friends, the first quarter is just winding down....it's time to make Personal Tactical changes! It's time to CHANGE INTO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

You will not fail!

Good morning and Happy New Week!
